It feels like we were treated to the last day of summer for our paddle yesterday. Bright blue sky, a little windy, but wonderfully warm.

We were very grateful to have David from the Kingfishers visiting as our guest helm.

David put us through our paces, we did some evolution paddling (a way of breaking down the components of the paddle stroke), racing starts, and eyes-closed paddling (which can be a challenge to keep everyone in time!).

We finished off with some zig-zag drills and tried not to disturb the birds on the lake too much, there were a lot of them today.

We finished off with tea, cake and a catch-up at the clubhouse.

If you’d like to come along and give paddling a try, we’d love to hear from you. Please do get in touch 🙂
