We’ve not had much luck with our winter paddles largely due to the weather and our lake freezing over a few times.

Fortunately the weather has (mostly) improved and we were able to get out at the end of February.
Our meander around the lake took us unusually close to some budding willows as we gathered some twigs for a member’s guinea pig.

As we hadn’t been out for a while we took it pretty easy but did include some racing starts which are a lot of fun to do and always popular with our members.

Once back on land we enjoyed tea and amazing chocolate cake at the clubhouse.
