Henley Dragons have kindly invited us along for a taster day
The date for paddling is the Sunday 25th March, at 9.45 at the Eyot Centre, Henley-on-Thames. Directions and what to wear are here in the link below, there is plenty of free parking, they have buoyancy aids and paddles to borrow, bring a water bottle with a cap/lid (as it will be in the bottom of the boat). People often have bacon butties and a cuppa after training (bring some cheese or something if you don’t eat bacon):
The morning will consist of filling in forms for emergency contact numbers etc, fitting buoyancy aids, instructions on how to hold and use the paddle, getting the boat onto the water, doing a warm up, sorting out where everyone is sitting in the boat, and then getting in and having a go!
If you can’t make it for this one, there will be other times you can come along, either on a Sunday am or a Thurs evening. If you have not managed to complete the doodle poll and still want to come along I will be in touch a few days before the 25th in order to check on numbers, if you have completed the doodle poll and can’t come please also let me know so we don’t wait for you on the day.
