Our New Year’s day paddle was cold but lovely. We had lots of paddlers, and ran through some drills to get warmed up. The lake was a little quieter than usual from a wildlife point of view, but we were treated to a sighting of the kingfisher, some kites, and Egyptian geese.

We then enjoyed a little New Year’s Day drink, and one of our members played Auld Lang Syne for us. She had helpfully printed out the words so everyone could join in singing the words.
