On Saturday we had our first social get-together since the boat arrived, with a meal at the Isis Farmhouse. As Sunday is St Patrick’s Day the menu was Irish themed with the likes of Guinness-battered fish and chips, Irish stews and colcannon to mention but a few. I can vouch that the fish and chips were excellent, and everyone else enjoyed a great meal too judging by the empty plates at the end.

It was lovely to meet Sonia, our latest new member who came along to meet us all ahead of our next paddle on Saturday 30th March. We look forward to paddling together.

Adrian and Noreen, owners of The Isis Farmhouse are excellent musicians, and celebrated St Patrick’s day playing some Irish classics, the barn was full, and everyone was enjoying the live entertainment.
